My name is Mehrnaz (Emadi JAVAZM), beholding a BA degree in photography. I was born in 1968 in JAVAZM, a small village located in the center of Iran. I am a photographer. Now I am living in Canada and I do photography in social issues.

Javazm is a small village in the central part of Iran.

It is located in Kerman province, in the middle of desert (Latitude: 30.5166667, Longitude: 55.0327778).

Because of its geographical coordinates, Javazm has a very dry climate with cold winters and hot summers. The temperature tends to fluctuate dramatically, even between night and day, but especially summer to winter. Temperatures of 40°C in the summer and -20°C in the winter have been recorded.  Water is in short supply, therefore from centuries ago they have tried to bring water from remote areas through underground irrigation canals, called "qanāts".
